In Loving Memory of Gerald “Gerry” William Eugene Imler Burke April 16, 1991 – July 4, 2025

With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald “Gerry” Burke, who left this world far too soon on July 4th, 2025, at the age of 34.

Born on April 16th, 1991, to Cindy Burke and Don Imler, Gerry brought warmth, laughter, and love to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His life, though short, was rich with devotion, kindness, and an unshakable dedication to his family.

Gerry was a loving husband, a devoted father, a loyal brother, and a steadfast friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer, and their five beautiful children—Johanna, Logan, Kylie, Declan, and Ashton—each of whom was the light of his life and the center of his world. His brothers, Connor and David, carry forward his spirit, strength, and the many memories shared over the years.

To know Gerry was to know genuine love, quiet strength, and boundless generosity. Whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or his unmistakable laugh, he had a way of making people feel seen, safe, and cared for. He was a rock for those he loved, always putting others before himself and doing so with humility and grace.

Gerry’s sudden passing leaves a space in our hearts that can never be filled, but his memory will live on in the stories we tell, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely. His legacy continues in his children, who will grow up with the strength and compassion he instilled in them daily.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

A Celebration of Life is being held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Volney Fire Department, 3002 County Route 3, Fulton, NY 13069, from 4-8 pm.
