Global Buffet, a long standing Oswego, NY eatery, is off to a tenuous future, while the building located in downtown Oswego will be demolished early next month to make way for developer Atom Avery's vision of a mixed-use commercial and residential building.
The first floor will feature retail/restaurant space and Southern Fare is the first to sign on the first floor space.
Creator of Southern Fare, Patrick Mitchell is a native Oswegonian and a respected leader in the restaurant and hospitality industry. "I am highly skilled and motivated to developing the highest quality experience for each and every guest and have done so in major cities such as New York City, Las Vegas and Boston". stated Mitchell.
This project is part of the city's Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) program, and we've heard that this new building will include housing units and a 60-seat eatery on the main floor and an additional restaurant (possibly) on the top floor with amazing views of the Oswego River. Time will tell.
