Helen Louise Hoey, 77, a resident of Oswego passed away on January 27 at the Oswego Hospital surrounded by her family.
Born in Oswego, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Kief) Thompson and had attended Oswego schools.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, watching Yankee games and loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, James "Chubby" Hoey, three children, John (Amy) Hoey of Florida, Cathi Hoey of Oswego, Shane (Aimee) Hoey of Mexico, a sister, Margaret Magnante of Oswego, one brother, Larry Thompson of New York City, 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son, Jamie Hoey, her sister, Rose Anne Dexter and a brother, Charles Thompson.
A memorial funeral mass will be held on Thursday at 10:30 from St.Paul's Church.
There are no calling hours.
