Write a commentHelen M. Nentarz, 91, a resident of Town of Oswego, NY, passed away Friday, December 6, 2019, at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego.
Helen was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Paluszek) Nentarz.
Ms. Nentarz was a graduate of Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing, and was a member of the Bellevue School of Nursing Alumni Association.
She had formerly worked at Oswego State Teachers College and the Department of the Navy.
After graduation she was employed by several cruise lines visiting multiple locations around the world.
Helen moved onto Bell Labs Medical Dept. and the United Nations. She completed her time in New York City working in the Emergency Departments of Bellevue and NYU Medical Center hospitals.
Returning to Oswego she was employed at Harwood Nursing Home.
She was a communicant of Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Stephen’s in Oswego NY.
She is survived by a brother Stanley (Barbara) Nentarz of Fairport NY and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by four sisters, Anne Sathre, Stella Nentarz, Aniela Grauel, and Theresa Brandes; and a brother, Edward Nentarz.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at Christ the Good Shepherd in St. Stephen's Church, Oswego.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are in care of the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
