Community members are invited to roll up their sleeves and help restore two beautiful natural areas in our region!
This is a rewarding opportunity to connect with nature, meet fellow conservation enthusiasts, and make a lasting impact—one plant at a time.
Plantings are intended to restore areas where invasive species have been removed as part of a multi-year restoration initiative being led by the St. Lawrence Eastern Lake Ontario Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management (SLELO PRISM) and The Nature Conservancy.
Registration is required to attend; no experience is needed, and tools and guidance will be provided. Volunteers can attend one or both of the events listed below:
Friday, October 24 | 9 AM – 2 PM
- Site: Deer Creek Marsh WMA
- Location: South Rainbow Shores Road, Pulaski, NY
Saturday, October 25 | 10 AM – 3 PM
- Site: El Dorado Preserve
- Location: Grand Jean Road, Henderson, NY
Those interested in volunteering should register online at sleloinvasives.org/events or contact SLELO PRISM's Education Outreach Coordinator, Megan Pistolese-Shaw, at 315-522-1258.
