The Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center would like to announce its new program Hooves in the Forest, happening Wednesday afternoon, April 1, 2026, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.
Have you ever been walking along a trail and come across a hoof print? Deer tracks are some of the most common signs of wildlife one might find in the woods.
This program will take place both inside and outside. Participants will begin indoors, learning about this mammal and familiarizing themselves with the clues deer leave behind, such as shed antlers and fur tufts. Then they will venture outside for a guided trail walk to search for evidence of deer roaming the woods and wetlands.
This program offers a unique opportunity to dive deeper into the life of a white-tailed deer. The program fee is $4 per person and up to $12 per family. Advanced registration is encouraged, as space is limited. To register for this program, visit: https://reg.cce.cornell.edu/HoovesintheForest_235.
