Ian R. Wills, 62, a resident of Oswego, passed away September 24, 2014 at home, surrounded by his family.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late George and Arlene (Bruce) Wills. He was a 1971 graduate of Mexico Academy High School and the Richard De Tolo School of Beauty. He was a self employed Hair Stylist and was a manager at JC Penney's Salon in Oswego, until he suffered a brain aneurysm. Ian was a member of the Oswego Players and was preforming in the play No Sex Please, We're British, when he met his wife.
Surviving is his wife, Maureen (Fitzgerald) Wills; two daughters, Corrie (Andrew) Pospesel and Brina (Jacob) Butchko, both of Fulton; four brothers, Bruce (Maria) Wills of PA, Robert (Cathy) Wills of SC, Josephus (Deb) Wills of Scriba, and George (Mary) Wills of FL; one sister, Anna Wills of Mexico; two grandchildren, Elizabeth (Justin) Shufelt and Vera Jean Butchko; one great granddaughter, Arabella Shufelt; several nieces and nephews; and his wonderful aide, Kathy Gates.
Calling hours will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, September 29, with a memorial service to follow, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany Street, Oswego, NY.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
