The Oswego Elks Lodge has generously donated $3,000 to the CiTi BOCES Fueling Futures program, helping to ensure students have access to the resources they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
The Fueling Futures program is designed to support students facing food insecurity by providing meals, snacks and essential supplies that help remove barriers to learning. The donation from the Oswego Elks Lodge will directly benefit students across Oswego County, reinforcing a shared commitment to student well-being and academic success. Additionally, students enrolled in the STRIVE program play an important role in helping to facilitate and operate Fueling Futures, gaining valuable work-based learning experience and earning work-study credit as they support their peers.
"We are incredibly grateful to the Oswego Elks Lodge for their continued support of our students," said Brian Heffron, Administrator of Workforce Development & Community Relations at CiTi BOCES. "This donation makes a meaningful difference in the lives of the young people we serve, helping to ensure they are nourished, focused and ready to learn."
The Oswego Elks Lodge has a long-standing tradition of giving back to the community, and this contribution reflects their dedication to supporting local youth and education initiatives.
CiTi BOCES remains committed to addressing the diverse needs of students throughout the region, and partnerships like this play a vital role in expanding opportunities and support systems for those who need it most.
