Write a commentAnnouncing Oswego's second annual Big Latch On. The Big Latch On is a community building event held every August to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week.
It involves groups of breastfeeding women coming together at registered locations around the world to all "latch on" (breastfeed) their child or children at a set time.
The Big Latch On – Oswego will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 3. This family fun event will be held at Franklin Square Park in Oswego. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and the "latch on" will occur promptly at 10:30 a.m. Immediately following the Big Latch On, participants will be able to engage in a number of family fun activities and a family picnic. All participants will receive a swag bag full of goodies and have an opportunity to meet other breastfeeding moms in our community.
The local event is sponsored and hosted by the Oswego County Breastfeeding Coalition, which is currently seeking donations, vendors and exhibitors to support this event. For more information, contact Lisa at 315-216-4622 or e-mail atlisa@mebabyshop.com.
