Write a commentIrene Moore, 90, of Oswego, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at her home.
Irene was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Arthur S. Moore.
She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Helen Knosp and sister to the late Harold and Frank Knosp.
She is survived by sisters Barbara A. Jordan and Helen Decker, daughters Patricia MacCaull and Karen Moore, grandchildren Michael MacCaull, Michelle Black and William MacCaull.
Irene worked a variety of jobs throughout adulthood and was a secretary for North Syracuse Central School District for many years.
Irene will be remembered fondly for her love of animals and birds.
Calling hours will be held 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, with a service to follow, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego. Spring graveside services will be held at Peck’s Cemetery.
