Isabel A. Richardson, 74, of Oswego, passed away Monday, September 22, 2025.
Isabel was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late John and Rose (Ladavia) Hammond. She was a life resident of the area.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed with the City of Oswego for 38 Years as a crossing guard and personal house cleaner.
She was a very caring and compassionate person who befriended many, always watching out for others and lending a helping hand. She cherished sharing coffee and conversation with friends and loved ones, and enjoyed hosting family gatherings that kept ties strong. She also found joy in her trips to the casino & Tennessee, creating beautiful handmade Christmas ornaments, gardening, and spending time with her pool friends at Captain’s Quarters.
She is survived byher husband, Brian Richardson, one sister, Henrietta Brown; two brothers, Edward (Pamela) Hammond and James (Peggy) Hammond; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her brothers and sisters she is survived by her three daughters, April Richardson of Tennessee, Crystal (Bryan M.) Richardson of Oswego and Amber (Ryan) Falise of Tennessee, and stepson Thomas (Terri) Richardson of Oswego; her grandchildren Courtney (Kyle) Clark and Collin Perry of Oswego, Brinley and Bentley Falise of Tennessee; her step grandchildren Brennon and Austin Richardson of Oswego; and her step great grandchild Rory and her newest edition great grandchild, Joseph Clark.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by five brothers: Karl Coe, John Hammond, Frank Hammond, Fred Hammond and Joseph Coe.
Graveside services will be held on October 24th, 2025 at 11 am at the New Haven Cemetery. We invite friends and family to join. A celebration of life will follow at Battle Island State Park.
