Write a commentJ. Michael Malette, 70, of Fulton, passed away December 24th, 2018, at the Veterans Hospital from combat connected cancer.
Born in Williamsport Pennsylvania, he was the son of Ada (Repsher) Malette, of Oswego and the late John K. Malette.
Mike was a Vietnam Veteran, and served in the US NAVY from 1966-1970.
He worked as a documentation writer at Xerox in Webster NY and retired from Xerox after 40 years of employment.
He loved golfing, traveling with his wife, and restoring antiques. He especially loved following his grandchildren’s pursuits.
In addition to his mother, surviving are his loving wife of 50 years, Marjorie Ann (Dayton) Malette; son, Kenneth (Mihaela) Malette, of Denver CO; daughter, Deanna (Darin) Leone, of Honeoye Falls; sister, Judith Malette of AZ; and grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, and Michael Malette, Eric Abdo, and Peter, Samantha, and Sydney Leone.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff at the VA Hospitals in Syracuse and Albany for the loving care they provided. Also a special thank you to the staff at the Albany Fisher House, and all the volunteers who provided support and help.
Services will be Saturday, January 12, 2018 at 1pm at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street.
