James Michael Caprin, 59, of Oswego, died November 23, 2017 at Crouse Hospital Syracuse.
Born in Auburn, NY, he was the son of the late William and Kathryn (Miano) Caprin.
He was employed at Novelis for 35 years, retiring in 2012.
He loved the Yankee’s, golfing, camping, NASCAR and Oswego Speedway, cooking, crossword puzzles and adult coloring.
His memberships included the American Legion, Oswego Elks, V.F.W. and the IOOB.
Surviving are his wife, Veronica (Cusyck) Caprin; his brothers-in-laws, Raymond Cusyck (Dianne Ambrosetti); William (Michele) Cusyck; Thomas Cusyck; Walter Cusyck; sister-in-law Patricia Nagy; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and godchildren.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Bernard and Brian Schultz and a brother-in-law Frank Cusyck.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, with a service to follow, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
