Janet L. Orr, of Hannibal, passed away Sunday evening in Oswego.
She was born in the Town of Oswego and was the daughter of the late John A. and Pearl Hart Matthews. Mrs. Orr was the wife of Robert W. Orr.
She had been employed on the custodial staff at Oswego State University for many years until her retirement in 1997. She had also worked at the Oswego Candy Works.
In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters Patricia (Larrie) Halstead, Deborah (William) Knight and Claire (Daniel) Malone all of Hannibal, one sister Barbara Scruton of Hannibal, ten grandchildren; Sarah Halstead, Laura Halstead, Katie (Jeremy) DeGroff, Alicia Knight, Crystal (Joel) Wayman, Cassandra Knight, Robert Knight, Michele (Christopher) Emmons, Amanda (Stanton) Taber and John (Jessica) Malone, three great grandchildren, Brandin Emmons, Connor Wayman and Olivia DeGroff and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours Thursday 2-5PM at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home with a service to follow at 5:00PM
Spring burial will be in Fairdale Cemetery.
