Members of the Oswego Rotary club were treated to a wonderful presentation by Jim Farfaglia, author of Voices in the Storm: Stories from the Blizzard of 1966.
Jim is a retired elementary school teacher, former director of Camp Hollis, now retired and focusing his attention writing and supporting local authors. Farfaglia has conducted countless hours of research on this weather phenomenon. Additionally, Mr. Farfaglia has also written a book about Oswego's weatherman Bob Sykes.
Both books are being released simultaneously and are available at The River's End Bookstore in Oswego. Jim provided us with wonderful pictures of the storm and snow accumulations around the area. The 50th anniversary of this weather event is coming up the end of this month. And, by popular demand, Jim will be returning to Oswego Rotary next Tuesday to conclude his program on the Blizzard of '66.
