Joe Stabb, the new Executive Director of the Oswego County Humane Society, was our guest speaker this week.

Joe gave a brief overview of what the OCHS does in our county and some updates on 2019 services. The OCHS provides services to promote and strengthen the human-animal bond through fostering-to-adoption programs, spay/neuter clinics, and humane education.

In 2018 the OCHS had 154 rescues and adoptions; 611 cats in the spay/neuter clinic; distributed 6000 pounds of dog food, cat food and cat litter and responded to 1000 countless requests for information, assistance, referrals and education ! In 2019 they expect to distribute 7000 pounds of food etc !!!

They also have some exciting events coming up in 2019:

April 27 - The Fur Ball at The American Foundry
September 29 - Rover Run at Fallbrook
November 2 - Pet Fashion Show
December 7 - Home for the Holidays
