John J. Gillingham Jr., 76, of Pennellville, passed away on February 15, 2024.

 Born in Philadelphia, PA., John was the son of the late John J. and Mary (Stroback) Gillingham Sr. 

John worked for the American Red Cross as a regional driver for many years. He was also a volunteer with the Pennellville Fire Department where he served as president and was a member of CWA #1123, Syracuse.  John was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and loved to cook.

John is survived by his daughters Tiffany (Rick) Crego of Pennellville and Kristine Gillingham. He also leaves behind his beloved grandsons Jonathan Steven of Fulton and Kyle Crego of Pennellville, his sister Mary Lou Troster, brothers in law John (Margaret) Zalenski and Mike (Carmela) Frake, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife Nicolette (Frake) Gillingham in 1996 and his son John J. Gillingham III in 1975.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from 4-7 pm with a service to follow, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. A Spring burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery.
