Write a commentDuring the month of January, Lakeside Artisans, 191 W. First St., is offering a variety of art classes to the public.
Michele Southgate will offer a Watercolor Painting class from 2-5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 14. The class is appropriate for both beginning and experienced watercolorists alike.
A Hand-painted Silk Scarf class, by Cindy Schmidt, will be offered from 5:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 16. Participants will make their own colorful scarf during this class.
Stained Glass artist Cathy Pence is offering a two-day class making wire-wrapped pendents and earrings. The classes will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturdays, Jan. 19 and 26. Students can take one class or both of them.
Wendy Ballard will offer a chainmaille class in making a Byzantine bracelet from 5:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 30.
Classes are held in the Lakeside Artisans' classroom at Canal Commons. A non-refundable $10 deposit is required to register for each class.
