Joseph D. Molinari, 82, of Oswego, passed away on  April  18, 2026, in Florida.

 Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Sara R. (Murabito) Molinari.

 Joseph graduated from Oswego High School.  He earned BA and MA degrees at Oswego State University.

 He was a high school teacher and also a private business owner.

 He enjoyed golfing, woodworking, reading, yoga, walks in nature, tending to his garden, especially his raspberry bushes, going to the beach, and walking his beloved dog Abbigail.  But above all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

 Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Irene (Wisnewski) Molinari, and children Alison (Bryan) Godlewski of Driggs, ID, and Kevin (Mandy) Molinari of Groveland, NY.  He also leaves behind his siblings, John (Barbara) Molinari, David (Joan) Molinari, James Molinari, Mary (Nick) Della Penna, and Sara (Mark) Mitchell, as well as his grandson, Colin Molinari, and many nieces and nephews.

 Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 2-5 pm at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany Street.  A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Friday, May 1, 2026, at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish and Shrine.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Joseph’s name to the Oswego Public Library, 120 E 2nd St, Oswego, NY 13126.  Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
