Write a commentJoseph M. Ruggio, 62, of Oswego, passed away on December 29, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Plainview New York, he was the son of the late Alfred James and Roberta Jean (Lill) Ruggio.
Joseph was a General Contractor and Union Stone Mason for the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman. He was named an honorary brother in Sigma Tau Chi and was referred to as "MacGyver". Joseph loved music and was an outdoorsman who loved to boat, fish, garden, and cook. He especially loved his family and spending time with his kids.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife Jean-Marie (Hubbs) Ruggio, and his children Jamie-Brooke Hubbs Ruggio (Nathan T. Westcott) and Joseph James Ruggio. He also leaves behind his sisters Denise Ruggio and Mary Beato (Anthony).
Services will be held at Christ the Good Shepherd on Saturday, January 27th at 10 am followed by a gathering in the Parish Hall.
The family will be planning a celebration of life at a later date.
Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
