Joseph “Ted” Swiech, 64, a resident of Oswego, passed away April 10, 2016 at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Oswego, N.Y. he was the son of the late Joseph and Wilhelmina (Reynolds) Swiech. He graduated Oswego High School and attended SUNY Oswego. He worked for Miller Brewery Company in Fulton, for many years until his retirement on disability. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #271, and he was an avid Yankees fan. He enjoyed running and participated in 5k and 10k races for charity. Joseph also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife Sandra (Pospesel), Three daughters; Bridgette (Charles) Baldwin of Oswego, Cathleen (Michael) Comerford of Oswego, Julie (Scott) Smith of Florida, a brother; James (Anna) Swiech of North Carolina, 5 grandchildren; Kaylee Baldwin, Zachary Smith, Hayden Smith, Ashton Smith, and Ethan Baldwin.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 west Albany Street Oswego, with services to follow at 7:00 p.m., Rev. Richard Morisette officiating.
