Karol was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late John and Carolyn Allen Sr.
She was a 10-year veteran of the Huhtamaki Corp. in Fulton.
Karol loved her raccoons, and singing karaoke.
She was a member of the Oswego American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Shear, Sr. of Oswego; her daughter, Stephanie Lynne (Jeremy) Chambers of Hannibal; two sons, Marky Shear, Jr of Oswego, and Travis Shear of Oswego; six siblings, Kandy (Lenny) Besaw of Granby, John Allen, Jr. of Fulton, Jamey Allen of Georgia, Mary Motyka of South Carolina, Penny (Darell Gamble) Saya of Colorado, and Konnie (Bernie) Crowe of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 Saturday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home in Oswego.
