Kenneth R. Costello, 72, of Oswego, died March 27, 2016 at his home.
Born in Oswego, N.Y., he was the son of the late Charles Thomas and Rose (Butler) Costello. He graduated local schools. He was employed at ALCAN Aluminum for 35 years. Ken and his wife loved going birding. He also enjoyed spending time hiking in the Adirondack with family members.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Rosalie “Rosanne” (Wallace) Costello; his children, Katrina (Salvatore) Lanza, of Oswego; Kenneth Michael Costello, of Baldwinsville, NY; Kevin (Rebecca) Costello, of Prattville, Alabama; Kyle (Alicia) Costello, of Oswego; Kurt (Tosha) of Memphis, Tennessee; Keith (Love) Costello, of Rochester, NY; Kory Costello, of North Liberty, Iowa; his beloved grandchildren, Gabriella Lanza, Mellissa Anderson, Luke Costello, Alex Vescio, Lisa and Ethan Costello; a great-granddaughter, Margaret Anderson.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, at St. Paul’s Church, 50 East Mohawk St. Oswego.
Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity Catholic School or the Friends of Oswego County Hospice.
