Not even a snowstorm could deter Frederick Leighton Elementary School from celebrating its recent Random Acts of Kindness day, which included a special hand-made surprise for students from an anonymous donor.
Originally scheduled for Friday, March 2, Leighton’s Random Act of Kindness Day was pushed to Monday, March 5 due to a snow day and students entering school for the new week found the gifts scattered around the school.
More than 300 painted rocks, bearing inspiration and motivational messages, appeared via the generosity of a member of the Leighton family who chose to remain anonymous.
“We want our children to be practicing kindness and looking out for one another every day,” said Leighton Principal Kara Shore. “It’s a great message to our students and we can now officially say – Kindness Rocks at Leighton!”
