Write a commentPharmacist Jamie Branshaw, RPh, from Wayne Drugs in Oswego will offer a presentation entitled; “Know Your Medications”, co-sponsored by The Oswego County Office for the Aging and Bishop’s Commons on Tuesday, July 12th beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The presentation is free of charge and open to the public. The presentation will be held at Bishop’s Commons, 4 Burkle Street in Oswego.
Branshaw, who has twenty years of experience serving the community, will offer an overview of the basics consumers should be aware of regarding both prescribed and over-the-counter medications.
Topics to be discussed include: drug interaction; definition and information about over-the counter, supplements and generics; the importance of taking medications as directed; the role of the pharmacist; and where to find valid information.
“We hear many questions from consumers regarding issues that have to do with their medications, either prescription or over-the counter, and we think this forum will help provide some valuable information,” said Sara Sunday, Director of the Oswego County Office for the Aging. “This is a great opportunity for people to learn more and have their questions answered.”
Representatives from both the Office for the Aging and Bishop’s Commons will be on hand to answer any questions the audience may have following the presentation.
