Kristine L. Thompson, 46, a resident of Oswego passed away on July 26 at her home.
Born in Oswego, she was a daughter of the late Charles Russell and Suzanne (Tickle) Russell of Oswego and was a graduate of the Oswego High School. She had also taken a CNA course at St.Luke's Health Care Facility and online courses at the University of Phoenix.
She was employed with Tops Market, the Oswego Hospital, St.Luke's Health Care Facility and also with Oswego County as an Elections Inspector.
She enjoyed camping, helping others and caring for several children as if they where her own including a Fresh Air child, Eric Eusebio who is still part of the family.
She met her husband Douglas while they where volunteering together at the Salvation Army.
Surviving besides her mother are are husband of 19 years, Douglas Thompson , two sons, Andrew and Benjamin Thompson both of Oswego, three siblings, Patrick (Michelle Harter) Russell of Oswego, Rebecca (Freddy Padua Sr.) Russell of Oswego, Charles (Erin) Russell of Alexandria, Va., her beloved bird Tiki, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 from the Oswego Alliance Church.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00-8:00 at the Dowdle Funeral Home.
