Laura E. Day, 91, a resident of Oswego, died January 20, 2018 at the Oswego Hospital.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late George and Clara (Tallman) Ward.
She worked as a clerk for the local D.M.V. retiring in 1987.
She enjoyed knitting and playing bridge. She was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. ladies Aux. She was an avid golfer and bowler and was a member of the Oswego bowling hall of fame.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Day; a son, Robert Jr. “Jody" (Sherry) Day of Fair Haven; grandchildren, Michael Day and Lori Colvin; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Xavier Mihalek; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a grandson Robert Day III, a brother George Ward and sister Ruth Knopp.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Tuesday with a service to follow at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
Spring burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery.
Nelson Funeral Home had care of the arrangements.
