Laurie A. Smith has been named Vice President Human Resources and Marketing of Fulton Savings Bank, (FSB), as announced by Pamela Caraccioli, President and CEO.
She succeeds Annette Cotton, who will retire in January after a 29-year career with the bank. Laurie joined the Bank on October 30.
Smith has served as human resources manager for the City of Fulton, as a human resources specialist at Huhtamaki, Inc., and an employee benefits senior account manager with USI Insurance Services, Syracuse. In addition, she also worked as a customer service representative at a local bank.
“We are delighted to welcome Laurie to this position with the diverse experience and skill set she brings in both recruitment and retention of talent,” Caraccioli said. “We know her contributions will aid in serving our customers throughout Oswego and Onondaga counties."
Smith has studied Human Development, Psychology and Counseling at SUNY Oswego as well as liberal arts and social sciences at Cayuga Community College.
Smith is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), and a former member of the New York State Association of Personnel/Civil Service Officers, Empire State Safety Association, and the board of Catholic Charities of Oswego County. She is also a licensed broker in life, health, and accident insurance.
Smith and her husband Charles, along with their two children, are lifelong residents of the city of Fulton.
