LaVerne Mae Loughlin, 74, of Oswego Town, died September 9, 2016 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Irene (Demass) McConnell.
She worked as a Secretary for Lake Shore Transportation and Laser Transit until her retirement.
LaVerne enjoyed gardening, mowing the lawn, spending time at the pool, family picnics and eating ice cream.
She was a member the Journey of Faith Church United Methodist Church where she served as Treasurer and sang in its choir.
Surviving are her son, Troy A. Loughlin, a sister Elaine Hammer of Oswego; a sister-in-law Margaret Loughlin; several nieces, nephews and cousins along with her dog Ellie Mae and cat Peanut.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas E. Loughlin (2001) and a sister Patricia Pritchard; brothers-in-law Pete Loughlin and Donald Pritchard.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Journey of Faith United Methodist Church, 7721 St. Rt. 104 Oswego. Burial will be held in Oswego Town Rural Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Monday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
