Write a commentLawrence A. “Larry” Bateman, 81 of Oswego passed away peacefully Thursday evening at the Albany Medical Center.
Born in Oswego he was the son of the late Leonard and Mabel Beckwith Bateman.
Larry was the custodian for many years at St. Mary’s Church in Oswego.
He was an avid wood worker.
Larry or “Dodo” to his friends and family is survived by his wife of 46 years Beverly, three daughters, Krissy (Stephen) Bailey, Tammy Bateman, and Jessica (Shawn) Donoghue all of Oswego, six, grandchildren, Stephen Bailey, Robert Schrim, Lorin Bailey, Bella Donoghue, Jacob Bailey, and Addy Donoghue, one great grandchild, Hunter Bailey, three sisters, Linda Bateman, Elana (Mark) Batchelor, Diane (Don) Beshures, and a brother, Dan ( Julie ) Hall.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, James Bateman and Gary Bateman,
Calling hours will be Thursday from 3-6PM followed by a service at 6PM at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
