LarryPerras     Lawrence R. Perras, 60, a resident of New Haven, passed away September 11, 2014 at his home.

     Born in Watertown, NY, he was the son of Evelyn (Benney) Perras of Oswego and the late Wilfred Perras. He attended Jefferson Community College before joining the Army, which he served from 1975-1980. Following the Army, he received his Bachelors' Degree from the University of Central Florida. He owned and operated a Financial Accounting Business in Florida before moving to Oswego in 1992. He worked locally as a Senior Business Advisor for the S.B.D.C at SUNY Oswego for more than 15 years. He received recognition from the President for is work with the Small Business Development Center. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and playing chess.

      Surviving, besides his mother, are his wife, Teresa (DeLair) Perras; two sons, Lawrence Perras II, of New Haven; Christopher (Stephanie) Perras of Oswego; three brothers, David (Pat) Perras of Minnesota; Stephen (Kim) Perras of Florida; Thomas (Linda) Perras of Whitesboro; a sister, Mary (Steve) Pierce of Oswego; twin grandchildren, Meghan and Shawn Perras and grandson Jackson Perras; several nieces and nephews; in-laws, Patty (Patrick) Farmer of Natural Bridge; John (Darci) DeLair of Natural Bridge; Louise (Rick) Percy of Carthage; Carol (Steve) Duggan of Harrisville.  He was predeceased by a son, John Perras and a daughter, Elizabeth Perras.

     Funeral Services will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday, at St. Paul's Church.

     Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.

     Calling hours will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
