Lena “Lee” Oswald, 87, of Oswego, widow of Kent Oswald, died June 13, 2018.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Carmelina (Annina) Merenda.
She had worked for General Electric and later for the Shanley Law Office.
She loved her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and golfing.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.
Surviving are two sons, David (Lori) Oswald; Kent (Pam) Oswald; her siblings, Joseph (Marie) Merenda; John (JoAnne) Merenda; Adeline (Richard) Burns; Yolanda (George) Curran; Julie (Roger) Wells; Maria (Alan) Davies; Roberta “Bobbi” (Ed) Merenda; grandchildren Jason (Chelsea) Oswald; Kim (Aaron) Nelson; Kelli (Matt) Slate; great-grandchildren Lilianna, Jason Jr., Brady, Ethan, Quinn, Macy, Audrianna and Leyton; daughter-in-law Cindy (Bob) Urquhart; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles “Kent” Oswald.
Calling hours will be held 4-7p.m. Friday at the Nelson Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be held 10a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Church. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
