Write a commentLinda Lee Davey, 75, a resident of Southwest 9th street in Oswego, passed away Friday, at Upstate Hospital in Syracuse.
Linda was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Clayton and Luciel (Goewey) Merritt. She was a life resident.
She was a 1961 graduate of Oswego High School.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a secretary in the Oswego Hospital maternity ward for more than 40 years.
She was accomplished at cross stitching, and loved the New York Mets and Pepsi Cola.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Davey of Oswego; a brother Richard (Katherine) Merritt of Oswego; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Howard F. Davey; a brother, Clayton Merritt; and a sister, Jean Maio.
She is also survived by many treasured cousins and friends who went above and beyond for her in her final years, and especially in her final days.
Calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 Saturday, June 1st, with a service to follow, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
