Write a commentLinda Lee Lawson Norway died May 5, 2026 just short of her 71st birthday on May 31, 2026 after a long battle with cancer.
She was the daughter of Raymond S. Lawson, Sr. and Helen Shurtliff Lawson.
Her smile was contagious and she could always come up with a life story. She enjoyed country music, humming along with every tune. She also enjoyed watching soap operas and game shows on TV.
Linda worked at Oswego industries in her younger years. Later in life you would see her at many OCO and Person to Person events. She loved the adventures like boat rides and coffee hours with Person to Person. She had many friends to call every day.
Linda was predeceased by both parents, her first husband Raymond Norway and Recently her second husband James Defendorf.
She leaves behind her siblings, Patty Kadle, Gloria Pittsley, Raymond S. Lawson, Jr., William Lawson and Brenda Southgate, also her sister in-law, Brenda Lawson who was her advocate and aid for six years.
Linda never had children but enjoyed the company of family including nieces and nephews.
She will be missed by many.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, May, 12 form Noon until 1PM followed by a service at 1PM at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home. Burial will be in Peck Cemetery.
