Write a commentLisa Marie Mays, 54, a resident of Utica Street in Oswego, was called home on Saturday, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. She was surrounded by her family.
Lisa was born on Long Island in Smithtown, NY, and had lived in Oswego for many years. She was the daughter of the late Lois (Hinde) Mays Cagnoli, and the late Edward Cagnoli.
She received her degree in Early Childhood Education, and was employed as a pre-school teacher first in San Diego, CA, and later, for many years, at the Children’s Center in Oswego.
She is survived by three sisters, Lori (Michael) Stinnett of Tennessee, Valeri (Douglas) Roshau of Minetto, and Kerri Bricker of Minetto; two brothers, Daniel Mays of Minetto, and Walter Mays of Minetto; 19 nieces and nephews, Heather, Jennifer, Christina, Amanda, Holly, TJ, Christopher, Daniel John, Brandon, Ashley, Nicole, Alex, Dustin, Kristen, Phillip, Kodie, Tacy, Mason, and Jace; and many great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, John Mays.
Calling hours will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 Saturday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home. A service will follow at 3:00.
Immediately after the service, friends and family are invited to gather at the Oswego Hibernians Club to continue celebrating Lisa’s life.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests that, in Lisa’s memory, that you spread random acts of kindness, and help someone who is in need.
