Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Lloyd Sr. and Alberta (Nelson) Rivers.
He was an avid sports fan. He loved music and was a D.J.
Surviving are his wife, Melissa (Haws) Rivers; step-daughters, Haley Gardner and Amber Loomis; four brothers, Billy Rivers; Mark Rivers; David Rivers; Kevin Rivers; three sisters, Sue Reidy, Nancy VanEmmrick and Judi Farrell; several nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, Fred Rivers.
There will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be private.
