Southgate plays with color, texture and light in her mixed media pieces. Adding watercolor and acrylic paint to some papers and hand making others gives her a wide range from which to choose.
Southgate's artwork as well as that of 19 other artists is on display at Lakeside Artisans, in Oswego. Lakeside Artisans is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m, Monday through Saturday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday during the Farmers' Market; and from 12-4 p.m., Sunday.
