Write a commentOswego Trinity United Methodist Church (UMC) welcomes everyone to the freewill dinner on Sunday, March 1 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. or until gone.
The menu includes corned beef and cabbage, rolls, cookies, and beverages.
The eat-in dinner will be served downstairs, please use the Utica Street entrance. Donations will be accepted, but never expected. The freewill dinner usually occurs the first Sunday of each month starting at 4:30. Due to Easter on April 5, the next dinner is May 3 and will include chili, cornbread, Italian bread, Jell-O salad, cupcakes, and beverages.
In addition, Trinity UMC will begin a Lenten Book Study, "Final Words" by Adam Hamilton at 12 p.m. starting Sunday, February 22 and running for six weeks. The same class will also run on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. starting February 25. All are welcome!
Everyone is also invited to the local UMC’s Joint Lenten Services. Journey of Faith UMC (7721 NY 104, Oswego) has planned the Maundy Thursday Service, April 2, at 7 p.m. Minetto UMC (2433 Co. Rte. 8) has planned the Good Friday Service, April 3, at 7 p.m.
Trinity UMC invites all to the Easter Service, April 5, at 11 a.m. Easter calls us to celebrate with joy and gratitude. Christ’s resurrection reminds us that darkness does not win and hope is always rising. Let’s rejoice together in the good news that transforms our lives.
