Because of the success of last year's fundraiser, local organizations have partnered with the CAC again, to transform 'For The Kids' into an awareness campaign in hopes of raising $10,000 for the CAC so it may continue its mission to spread awareness about child abuse and the programs it offers to assist victims.

On April 12, 2014, hundreds of SUNY Oswego students and community members filled The Shed to show their support for the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) of Oswego County. Hosted by Delta Kappa Kappa Inc. (DKK), in collaboration with SUNY Oswego's Men's Varsity Ice Hockey team, the 'For the Kids' fundraiser was the culmination of a campaign created by SUNY Oswego students Denvol Haye, member of DKK, and Eli Kim-Swallow, a forward on the SUNY Oswego Men's Ice Hockey Team, to raise money for the CAC and to help raise awareness of child abuse in Oswego County.

In addition to the the 'For The Kids' fundraiser scheduled for April 11, 2015, at Cheap Seats, located on 6 Hillside Ave. in Oswego, the campaign will consist of a children free skate, hosted by Men's Ice Hockey Team, on Sunday, February 22, 2015, from 2-4 PM in the Marano Campus Center Ice Arena. The team encourages all families to bring their children to skate with the players. In addition, the campaign will feature a "Bowl with the Lakers" fundraiser scheduled for March 3, 2015, at Lighthouse Lanes, located at 295 E Albany St. in Oswego, where the community can come out and bowl with the Men's Ice Hockey Team.

For The Kids was the brainchild of SUNY Oswego students Denvol Haye, member of Delta Kappa Kappa, and Eli Kim-Swallow, forward on the Men's Ice Hockey Team. The idea came from the genuine idea to better the lives of those in the communty with an emphasis on the lives of children. Through this, and partnership with the CAC of Oswego County, For The Kids event was born. Based on the success of 2014's fundraiser, For The Kids has expanded into a culminating campaign to raise awareness of child abuse and reduce its devestating impact on Oswego County.

Located at 301 Beech Street in Fulton, with a satellite office at 4822 Salina Street in Pulaski, the CAC of Oswego County is a non-profit charitable organization that works hand-in-hand with local law enforcement, prosecution, child protective services, medical providers, therapy providers, and victim advocacy professionals in Oswego County to protect and serve children that are victims of sexual and physical abuse.
