Logan M. Arcaro, 22 of Scriba sadly left our world unexpectedly on Monday July 22, 2024 at his home after a life richly lived in kindness and caring for others.

He was born in Syracuse and was the son, best friend and “little soldier”, of Sally Lynne (Lewchanin) Arcaro, and Christian Hood, Logan’s confidant, friend and fishing buddy for many years.

Logan was a 2020 graduate of the Mexico Academy Central School.

Logan was happiest helping others. From the early age of 7 years old, he collected comfort care items for the troops overseas and advocated for better health care for veterans. This was a mission that followed him into adulthood. He also collected gifts for hospitalized children at Christmas. Logan had a big heart for animals, taking in any strays he could sneak past his mom.

The many activities he loved include racing and working on cars, playing his guitar, singing, listening to music, fishing and simply enjoying the company of his family and friends.

Logan is loved and missed by his mother, Sally Arcaro of Scriba, two sisters, Denyelle Baker and Rachael (Brian) Kelley both of Pulaski; maternal grandparents, Paul ( Sherry) Lewchanin of Sterling, grandpa David Stacy of Fulton; uncles Terry Lewchanin of Oswego, Jamey (Carol)Lewchanin, Jeremy (Linda) Stacy and aunt Chris Lewchanin, all from Virginia. Nephews, Trenton and Declan Baker, Jaxson, Ashton and Aydan Kelley and niece, Melina Kelley, and many cousins, though they lived miles apart, they shared a special bond. They are JJ, Sophia, Thor, Aurora Helen, Emma and Alex and they will miss Logan. Also left to cherish Logan’s memory, cousin Joey and Michael (Alexa) Lewchanin and little Vivian Stacy.

Logan is predeceased by his beloved maternal grandmother, Helen Stacy.

Calling hours will be from 12noon until 2PM on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home in Oswego.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Dominick’s Sports Tavern in Scriba, on 8/10/24 at 1 p.m. Attendees may bring a dish to pass.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the DAV (Disabled American veterans), Operation 22 (dedicated to ending veteran suicide) or do a simple act of kindness in honor of Logan’s memory, because Logan would like nothing more than for you to smile today.
