Write a commentLouis D. Gilmore, Sr. 76 of Oswego passed away Tuesday morning in the Oswego Hospital.
He was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Robert W. and Pauline Rookey Gilmore.
Mr. Gilmore was the husband of the late Harriett Gilmore who died in 2016.
He was a Veteran of the US Navy (1995-1963) and the US Coast Guard (1963-1967).
Mr. Gilmore was a Triple A Mechanic and had been employed in several local factories. More recently he retired as the owner/operator of Lou’s Fix It Shop in Oswego.
He is survived by one daughter, Debra L. Gilmore of Oswego, three sons, Louis D. Gilmore, Jr. of Florida, Robert C. Gilmore and William R. Gilmore both of Oswego, two sisters, Barbara Moody of Oswego and Florida, and Connie (Jack) Shutts of Oswego, seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased by a daughter, Christine M. Clary who died August 8, 2018.
Calling hours will be 12Noon -3PM Saturday at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home. Burial services will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
