Today Town of Manlius Republican Committee Chair Timothy Kelly announced his endorsement of Danielle Fogel in this year’s election for NYS Supreme Court Justice in the fifth Judicial District.

The 5th District includes all of Onondaga, Oneida, Herkimer, Lewis, Jefferson and Oswego Counties and Fogel is running for a new seat that was created by the State Legislature and Governor earlier this year.

“Danielle has the experience, qualifications and character that we need in New York State Supreme Court,” said Kelly. “She isn’t a politician who hops from one office to the other. She is a highly experienced litigator who has practiced law for many years in State Supreme Court.”

Fogel is an experienced trial lawyer who has practiced law in our community for over 16 years. She’s spent her entire career working in State Supreme Court where she has tried numerous cases to verdict and argued scores of motions and appeals. She is a leader in her field, currently serving as President of the Onondaga County Bar Association and having served as past President of the Central New York Women’s Bar Association. Prior to attending law school, Danielle was a Forensic Scientist for the New York State Police.

Fogel has lived in Central New York her entire life. She was born and raised in South Utica and now lives in East Syracuse with her husband, Michael, and their children, Anthony and Mason. Aside from her professional qualifications, Danielle is a committed community volunteer, having served on numerous boards of not-for-profit organizations including McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center and Anita’s Stevens-Swan Humane Society.

“Voters in Manlius should be proud that one of our local attorneys is seeking this prestigious position in this year’s election,” added Kelly. “I strongly encourage all voters to read up on the candidates and consider their real experience in State Supreme Court. I’m confident that anyone who truly does their homework will conclude that there’s no one better qualified for this seat than Danielle Fogel.”

The 2021 General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 2. Early voting will also be available at several designated sites throughout the 5th District from October 23 to 31. Eligible voters may also request an Absentee Ballot from their local Board of Elections.
