Marlene (King, Woolson) DeGroff age 81 of Central Square peacefully departed on March 31st surrounded in love by her family.
She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Howard and Genevieve (Johnson) King. She attended schools in Syracuse before moving to the Lycoming area. She had attended the Oswego Campus School after moving to the Lycoming area.
She was employed with the Sewing Factory in Oswego.
Surviving are husband of 37 years, Howard DeGroff, children: Burnetta (Howard) Bennett, Rhonda (Ralph Snyder) Woolson, Larry Woolson and step children Doug DeGroff, Cindy McManus, Brian DeGroff, Sharon Mandurano, Mark DeGroff and Brenda DeGroff and was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by first husband Larry Woolson and her daughter Laurie Woolson.
Marlene devoted her life to caring for her extended family, focusing on providing care for her son Larry since birth and enjoyed music, camping and playing games with the kids
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00- 7:00 with a service to follow the hours.
Spring burial will be in North Scriba Cemetery.
