Born in Oswego, She was a daughter of the late Harvey and Velma (Godfrey) Perry and had attended Oswego Schools.
She was employed with Birdseye, Alcan and later Burger King.
She volunteered at St. Luke's, was a member of the VFW and enjoyed playing bingo and bunco.
Surviving are her six children, Alan Groat Jr. of Oswego, Marie Soucy of Oswego, Kenneth Groat of Hannibal, Michael Groat of Oswego, Lee Groat of Virginia, Donna Bogawitch of Fulton, a brother, Daniel Perry of Syracuse, a sister, Marilyn Chapman of Oswego. eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brothers, James Perry, Harvey Perry Jr., Frederick Perry, Kenneth Perry, her sister Helen Newton and great great granddaughter, Ariella.
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00-6:00 with a service to follow the hours.
