Mary Lupa, 97, formerly of Oswego, and most recent years living with her family in Brentwood, TN, passed away on March 6, 2015, in Potomac, Maryland, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Budzinski) Kapuscinski. She enjoyed her crafts, needlework, gardening, cooking, yard work, painting, cooking and helping others. She was an active member of St. Stephen's Church.

Surviving are three daughters, JoAnne (John) Czirr of Brentwood, TN; Barbara (Kirby) Johnson of Potomac, MD; Eva (Paul) Giffune, of Stewart, FL; a son, Walter (Barbara) Lupa, of Durham, N.C.; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Lupa, a brother, John Kapuscinski, two sisters, Sophie Driscoll and Katherine Talamo and a grandchild, Abby Czirr.

Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stephen's Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.

Donations can be made to the charity of one's choice.
