Oswego Mayor Tom Gillen has announced that construction work at the City of Oswego Water Plant willl be continuing through the summer. The upgrades to the treatment facility involve rebuilding filters and will reduce the production capacity of the plant by 25% while the work is in process.

It is requested that all users of the City of Oswego water, which includes the Towns of Scriba and New Haven, curtail the use of water as much as possible during this construction period. If all residential, commercial and industrial users limit water usage to only trhe amounts needed and put off optional deman (such as lawn watering, car washing, pool filling, etc.) until after August 15th, there will be little to no impact.

In addition, it is requested that you report any suspected water main or hydrant leaks to the DPW at 342-4212.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Water Department at 343-0111.
