We have been enjoying Judy's oil paintings as Summer turns to Fall here at the Oswego Public Library. Judy Malone moved to Oswego from Carthage in 1989 to attend SUNY Oswego. She graduated with a BFA and a graphic design degree and decided to stay.

In 2010 Judy attended summer oil painting classes taught by Patricia Carson. She instructed her on the many technical aspects of oil painting and encouraged her to paint in her own style. Since then Judy has continued to enjoy and express herself with this medium. Her favorite subject matter is wildlife, nature, and lighthouses.

Some of her paintings have been donated to the Lyme Organization, the Cancer Society, and the Oswego Animal Shelter. Many others are available for sale.

Oil painting is her passion. The results can be seen on the lowest level of the Oswego Public Library next to the Library Learning Center computer lab and the Erik & Emily Cole community room. We are open Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 5, Monday through Thursday from 10 to 8, and Friday from 10 to 5.
