Write a commentMichael E. Vivlemore, 45, a resident of Camillus, and a former resident of Oswego, passed away Monday, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.
Michael was born in Oswego, the son of Edward and Agnes (Rookey) Vivlemore.
Michael graduated from Oswego High School in 1990, and then continued his education at SUNY Canton, graduating in 1993 with a degree in Computer Science.
He was a graduate of the St. Elizabeth Hospital nursing program in Utica, where he was known as the “gentle giant”.
He continued his education over the years, eventually earning his master’s degree in Nursing and Business Administration from Phoenix University.
Michael was a compassionate and caring nurse, and worked at several area hospitals during his career. At one time, he was the nursing manager of the Golisano Children’s Hospital in Syracuse.
He is survived by his parents, Edward and Agnes Vivlemore of Scriba; his sister, Shelly (Bushnoe) Vivlemore of Liverpool; his partner, Daniel, of Camillus; his best friend and confidante of more than 20 years, Martha Morabito of Liverpool; and several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews..
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM Thursday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Burial will be private.
Calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM Thursday, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
