
Michael F. Czerow, 64, a resident of Scriba, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015, after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Oswego, Mike was the son of Bertha (Crisafulli) Czerow and the late Frank (Rex) Czerow. He graduated from Oswego High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1969 - 1972. Mike had previously worked at Miller Brewery and retired from the Oswego City School District.
Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing and auto racing. He loved spending his Saturdays in the summer at the Oswego Speedway as a corner man with the safety crew. The Fall was Mike's favorite time of year as he would spend it hunting the Adirondack's with his buddies at the Tini Time Sportman's Club.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Nancy (Burke) Czerow as well as his mother, Bertha Czerow and sister Doreen (Ken) Cook. He is also survived by in-laws Jack and Candy Burke of Clayton, NY; Mary Lou and Larry Heintz of Oswego; and Joe and Karen Burke of Oswego; nieces and nephews, Heather, Andrew, Hilary, Erin, Ryan,
Kasey, Kali, and Morgan. Mike was predeceased by his father Rex Czerow and infant brother Daniel.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 from the Dowdle Funeral Home.
Burial will be in St.Paul's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7.
