Michael "Duffy" Susino, 68, of Lakeshore Road, in the town of Oswego, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at the Oswego Hospital, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late John and Beatrice (Woods) Susino.
Duffy was in construction for more than 50 years. He retired from the Labor Local #214.
He loved his garden and canning.
Michael is survived by his wife, Valerie (Rice) Susino, of 45 years; three children, John Michael Susino and Dawn Susino-Acton, both of Oswego, and Sherri (Neal) LaPage, of Hannibal; eight grandchildren, Sarah, Keri-Ann, Ricky, Megan, Sydney, Morgan, Beau and Alex; one great-granddaughter, Josilyn; a brother-in-law, David Rice; eight brothers and sisters, Joanne (Mike) Naramore, Sue (Leo) Wilder, John (Christine) Susino, William (Theresa) Susino, Kathy (Dan) Abbott, Dawn (Richard) Simoneau; Phil (CC) Susino and Tony (Sherry) Susino; tons of nieces and nephews; and his youngest four-legged dog, Izzy.
Calling hours will be held from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 5, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
Burial will be in Hannibal Cemetery.
